Efektivitas Therapeutic Patient Education Berbasis Augmented Reality terhadap Kualitas Hidup dan Self-Management pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2

Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan kemampuan self-management yang baik untuk mengendalikan penyakit dan mencegah komplikasi. Namun, efektivitas edukasi kesehatan konvensional masih terbatas sehingga diperlukan inovasi media edukasi yang lebih interaktif. Salah satu inovasi media edukasi interaktif yang dapat digunakan adalah Augmented Reality. Menganalisis efektivitas Therapeutic Patient Education berbasis Augmented Reality terhadap self-management dan kualitas hidup pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 responden yang terdiri dari 50 responden kelompok intervensi dan 50 responden kelompok kontrol yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelompok intervensi mendapatkan Therapeutic Patient Education berbasis Augmented Reality selama tiga bulan, sedangkan kelompok kontrol memperoleh edukasi standar. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ) dan World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor self-management pada kelompok intervensi dari 5,12±0,81 menjadi 7,84±0,67 (p=0,001) dan peningkatan skor kualitas hidup dari 58,42±6,21 menjadi 74,63±5,18 (p=0,001). Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol pada variabel self-management dan kualitas hidup setelah intervensi (p<0,05). Therapeutic Patient Education berbasis Augmented Reality efektif meningkatkan self-management dan kualitas hidup pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2. Intervensi ini berpotensi menjadi inovasi edukasi kesehatan yang mendukung pengelolaan diabetes secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan.
